Close is inspired by how close we can feel to the animal world — in this case, to bees. Bees may be insects, but they also carry a message: something is approaching. They work together, create something delicious, and have a unique, fascinating body. I find bees captivating, and through this piece, I wanted to honor them by surrounding them with vibrant color. This piece is created with acrylic on canvas.
